I just found a bit interesting the 3 pictures showed in this book.

Hercules beetle is not a scarab.
I don't know if a centipede or similar insect counts as a "serpent".
I also don't really see any description on the web page. I wonder what the relevance of the images are within the context of the source?

.. and I've always visually noted similarities, but apparently Dung Beetles and Scarabs are the same thing, or at least very closely related (:

The third one isn't even a reptile, it's an arthropod.
