A great big hello from Texas. <3
Been here for a couple weeks, figured it was time to make an introduction post!
Hello everyone. My name is Zabe, and I live in South Texas with my non-vampire husband Alex, and our two children, Gunner, 4, and Dahlia "Dolly", 1. I'm studying to be a computer information systems networking technology specialist, or NA&IS for short (network administration and information security). I work as a DSP, taking care of developmentally disabled gentlemen in their group home. My hobbies include making industrial/electronic music, drawing digital art, gaming, studying, and of course, dabbling in the occult.
As far as my history as a vampire, there was really no one true awakening "a-ha!" moment; it seemed to have snowballed from childhood until one day rather recently, I all but leapt "out of the coffin" so to speak, almost at what seemed like a breaking point. I was reading a little on my own, when it became apparent to me that I was psy feeding and not thinking about it for quite some time. I am aware of the dangers and ethical issues of this, and am working to focus and correct it. I am a HUGE extrovert, so I find it comes extremely easy. I have a sanguine fascination and craving, but do not currently engage in bloodfeeding.
I hope to learn more about vampirism and the vampire lifestyle, thereby learn more about myself. It's nice to see a lot of like-minded individuals gathering in one place. I've been by sanguinarius.org, checked out some ToV, House Kheperu, House Eclipse, and OSV things. I've joined some facebook groups for vampire communities in Texas so I can stay up-to-date on nearby events, but they're all pretty damn far, so my main focus is looking for online communities where I can make friends, discuss ideas, or help make a difference.
If you've read this far into my novel of an introduction, thank you, and thank you for receiving me.
Your friend,
Zabe~
