Sharing a few words about balance and Taoism
To begin: How does this relate to vampirism?
Well, it seems people are always looking for answers. People want to find themselves. And balance is something that relates to that, at least in my opinion.
There is just this kind of energy that is Nothing and is All. There is a way of seeking for inner balance, and it is quite curious when we read that is the way of not seeking it.
If you look, you will not see it. If you try to reach, you will not get it. If you seek, you will not reach it.
The Tao that can be named is not the Tao.
I was able to read about Taoism in different sources, but one made me smile. I read "The Tao of the Pooh". Yes, that cute bear - Winnie the Pooh. We can see that life is simple, and hen we see it the same way we used to see when we were kids, we can notice how hard we are with ourselves.
We tend to punish ourselves for our mistakes, we tend to interpret life as something so complicated, when in the end, everything is what it is. And every single thing is in its correct place, performing what should be performed.
We are the ones that complicate things, we are the ones that try to flow against the current.
In the end, the beauty of everything is that we are always learning something new, and the simple things are the ones that make us smile. Smile with body and Soul.
Finding that very special thing that gives us the sparkle of life.
We all have our Journey, our roads, and the steps we need to give.
We all have our paths, and we perform the actions we believe are good and correct to ourselves, even if sometimes they are not.
But there is always something we can learn from the experiences we go through.
Maybe I am finding mine...and maybe that sparkling is flowing...
But in the end, it is a matter of action through inaction...
The Wu Wei...

Seeing things through uncomplicated eyes definitely makes sense as a way of achieving balance. Returning to simplicity, settling the constant noise of modern, connected adult life.

Re: Sharing a few words about balance and Taoism
Returning to this, I believe there is something ego-breaking, in a good way, to what you describe. A surrender to the universe.
I see what you mean about how sometimes, we might overcomplicate things due to what is going on in the mind or elsewhere, when really all things should return to simplicity. Being hard on oneself can be a good tool for discipline and reaching personal milestones, but it also has the potential to easily go astray.
I'm sure several of us remember a Tweet from a highly regarded occultist who stated that what is needed for touching magick is communion with nature rather than getting lost in elaborate rituals, and your post reminded me of that.
Surrendering to nature, the subtle tides of the universe, and simplicity is like the antidote against those eternal falls of legend in Asetianism.
The Tao of the Pooh - that sounds pretty fun and lighthearted.
I have been interested in the topic for a while now due to my particular fascination with Eastern spirituality.
It seems like the Tao can in fact have a deep link to vampiric spirituality as seen within Asetianism. In a way, I also see what you mentioned about not being able to reach it if you actually try reaching for it, as possibly applying to the development of real occult power. Fascinating stuff!
We hope to see you posting again, and I'm surely not the only one who misses your articles about Asetianism and alchemy.
