How would you define awakening?

The vast majority of vampires that you will come in contact with are not Asetians. Mostly, all you will find are going to be psychic vampires with a latent and unaware vampiric condition. These vampires, like the vast majority of the unawakened, don't have any notion whatsoever of what they are, what they are capable of and why they react in some ways to the environment. Most of them don't even believe in vampires at all and have no clue that there is a vast occult society out there, functional, active and pretty much alive, living in secrecy behind the veil of common society, ruling in its very own empire of shadows.

The Egyptian scarab symbolically covers the idea of evolutional phases that a soul passes through, before reaching a more evolved stage - Enlightenment so the word transmits the idea of a deep transformation, the true concept of becoming.
