Twilight's asetians
It has recently come to my attention that the voultouri are representing the asetians in twiligt sega. they use the quote the voultouri gives no second chances gives no second chances. also THEY HAVE RESPECT for science and the arts.they are said to have no respect for humans. THIS MAY parallel to how asetians find that most humans are unevolved and don't truely know love and loyalty

Re: Twilight's asetians
I don't think that the author would have any connection to the occult, to be inspired by the Aset Ka in her writing. When it comes to Harry Potter's author and the Lord of the Rings author, you can easily suspect that they had some connection to the occult world. But the author of Twilight seems to be so..."teenager's bed time story writer". Very light stuff. I see no connection, I don't think she even believes in actual vampirism or is even aware of the existing vampire community.
Shame on me for comparing J. K. Rowling to Stephenie Meyer, considering that Harry Potter actually had some real spells, and the ones that were not "real", were highly inspired by the actual metaphysical words and gestures.

Re: Twilight's asetians
I think a lot of the misconceptions about real vampirism comes from movies such as Twilight. There will always be those who find fantasy and fiction romantic and therefore seek to find it in forums such as this one, and others. Of course, it doesn't help that a large majority of the "vampire community" can have such unrealistic views...
Re: Twilight's asetians
I don't see the connection with this movie... although, while watching True Blood I've noticed some scenes where the vampire Eric was somehow "controlling" Sookie's dreams to make her desire him... this thing remind me somehow of the "occlusion" described in the A.B.

Re: Twilight's asetians
I believe the movie inception with Leonardo Dacapreo (I f I spelled that right) has to do with Oclumancy.

Re: Twilight's asetians
Twilight and Asetians should never be put in the same sentence, save maybe this one.
It did make me giggle however...
