The Purpose of Feeding

I have been thinking about this question for quite some time, and I have finally decided to post it.

Why do Asetians only choose to feed from their own kind? The energy is the same, wouldn't it be like feeding from your own energy body? I see vampirism as an act to help empower oneself, acquire that which one does not already possess. Through feeding one gains something the energy body may lack, not like the common misconception that vampires NEED to feed for survival, but because as predators, one goes out and gets that which one wants. So why do Asetians choose only to feed from their own kind? why not feed from other beings? I am sure they might, but I would like to learn what everyone else thinks about this.

I don't believe Asetians only feed from their own kin. That probably happens in terms of deep feeding, which is a very intimate, powerful and binding form of vampire feeding. It does make metaphysical sense it happens that way, after all most humans would have a far too polluted energy (and certainly not of the same high vibration) for an Asetian to intake deeply into his own core. But if we're not talking on the level of deep feeding I do believe they feed from many other beings, including humans. They're natural predators and quite proud of their predatory self... feeding off their own kind isn't very predatorial is it? It surely happens with mutual consent between Asetians. Their predatory side kicks in with humans. Between Asetians and humans is when the true story of predator and prey is revealed. So yes, I'm pretty sure they also feed off humans...

I think Asetians might choose to feed of more clean or "pure" types of energy, since the majority of the energy bodies humans have lack that characteristic, they may tend to search for humans who are "cleaner".

Asetians, may choose to feed from vampires or other types of otherkin that have a good energy quality. So as Jonathan said, I belive that Asetians don't feed only on their kin.

Asetians mostly prefer to feed among each-other because there are simply higher vibrations of energy present, and keeping a circle of violet energy running between each-other never hurts (in my opinion).

Feeding is used as a method to help bring balance to the spiritual body, which for an Asetian is functioning on a higher vibration in the physical body. When the spiritual body becomes strained due to a lack in energy, the physical body also begins to suffer. Most humans likely do not have the energy that an Asetian needs to bring balance to their system, though I don't doubt that interactions with humans would allow an Asetian to persist.

Everything that exists or ever existed is or was familiar with what it needs to survive and knew how to find it in whatever form, yes for some there may be favoured food but sustenance can be found in the strangest form or essence . It is not who they feed on but what they absorb that fortifies them and keeps them strong.
