Phantom limbs and the astral body

Last night, as I was doing some extremely intense healing work (with some help), I felt a sensation as if every bone in my back had shattered. Afterwards, two points, right above my shoulder blades heated up, and I felt two new chakras open up. The being I was working with told me these were my wing chakras, and that my astral form had wings. Although I have perceived wings upon my astral self, not until now have I physically felt them.

Has anybody experienced something similar in relation to phantom limbs?
