Guardian-like shielding

I was with a friend yesterday, and we had just finished working a ouija board. Afterwards, he asked me to feed off of him because he wanted to know what it felt like. To my surprise, he had an intensely powerful shield.

He didn't even know what a shield was. Speculations on whether or not this fellow might be a guardian, or other being?

*Note, he has quite a powerful aura, and has only recently opened his third eye.

With this information, it will be interpreted however you decide to see it. The nature of the Guardian's shielding is not fully understood. For your friend, a powerful shield could be the result of a traumatic experience at a younger age, for which he built up defenses against.

Possibly, but I find it odd that one who is not versed with energy manipulation could make such a powerful energy shield.

Never underestimate natural defense mechanisms, and don't try to force the idea of Asetian Lineage onto someone. Even if he is, it is a spiritual journey for him to undertake in his own time and has next to zero effect on anyone else.

It is an interesting case, but always remember that there are always going to be interesting people everywhere with different abilities.

I have to agree with Daniel. A powerful "shield" as you call it, is often caused by a trauma. I'm not saying that's always the case, but to me this seems to be the most likely possebility.
