Greetings to all here
Greetings to all!
I very happy to find this message board. After ordering the Asetian Bible, reading and rereading, I found this place.
It is no secret which lineage I quickly took to.(my name here )
I live in the U.S., love reading, martial arts, art in all forms and exotic foods.
I'm not the best at talking about myself, so ask if you want to know more.

Re: Greetings to all here
Hello Aghrab and Helliana.
I will try to address my feeling toward the Guardian lineage by traits described from the AB. Ok so here goes, reading the AB was a moving thing in itself. I was totally consumed with it the first day. As for the Guardian section, well it was, for lack of a better words, just like me. Loyalty, to my one true love. Tantric feeding described in the AB, me for years! Shielding I have done for years also(just wasn't aware of what I was doing).Good health and immune system, I have put weight on and off, but its getting leveling off now;). I have a very masculine energy. The weakness mentioned in AB are almost scary. This is something I intend on improving. And energy flow within and out.
I think I'll shut up now.

Oh, and I forgot one other trait. My view on the "herd". My antisocial behavior. Hit the nail on the head with that one! I have always had only a few friends.

I should perhaps get this book. It sounds like a good read. Welcome to the forum. I recently stumbled upon it as well, and also happen to be quite interested in the guardian for it's accurate description of myself.

Hello Daniel09, if you feel this way you should definitely get the Asetian Bible. Amazon doesn't have it in the U.S. I got mine from Barnes & Noble online.

Re: Greetings to all here
Welcome, TheGuardian.
I will say this, and it's not only for you, as it is also for a lot of people here. It's worse if you simply accept the fact that you belong to one of the lineages.
Most Asetians are very hard to convince, and they are constantly trying to prove themselves to be Who they are, even after being able to join the Order. They are proven to be Who they are, but they always tend to never stop wanting to find out more, and even putting the question "Am I really Who I think I am?"
It's very bad to simply say:
1st - "I think I am a Guardian because I am so given to my One True Love;" - This is very easy to say, but so very hard to do. People say they Love, but they don't even know what Love is. You say maybe you could kill yourself if your soulmate died... I wonder if you would, if you had children, duties and people needing you. A Guardian, even with children, that I would definitely doubt them to have, would do so. First, one must meditate deeply and find the True Will and the Self. Only after that you might judge how You Are in a real way.
2nd - "I think I am a Guardian because I shield." - Everybody shields, in a way or another. Especially when you're in a social context, and someone ridicularizes you. You automatically start building up shields and shields, and you tend to run away from such people, or simply put those shields and still be with such people. Nevertheless, it's something you build from day one, when you first feel bad for something. The shielding process a Guardian uses is far more intense and doesn't have to do with ego-weakness. It has to do with strength all the way. And how would you know you've always shielded that much? Very relative thoughts.
3rd - "I think I am a Guardian because I have a good immune system" - Or maybe you simply have a natural immune system, maybe you've been exposed to a lot of viruses during your childhood, and you built up defenses. Maybe you simply aren't exposed to enough pathogenic factors, now your immune system is complete. Or simply, maybe your immune system isn't as good as you think it is. Maybe when you leave home and it's cold, you go back home to get a new coat. Maybe in rainy days you simply dress up as any normal person does (with clothes, and not almost naked). Maybe when it's too hot you need to undress, maybe you feel sick, maybe you get sunburns...
4th - "I think I am a Guardian because I'm so very anti-social and so very misanthropic" - Maybe a Guardian would never stand the presence of their parents, maybe a Guardian would never stand having a couple of friends, maybe a Guardian would never like to call someone a friend. Maybe a Guardian would never treat nicely the lady in a shop. Maybe they would never be nice to anyone, except Family (with still some reservations) and the One True Love. Would never be able to be a known public person.
Maybe any Asetian (yes, from now on I'll be including any of them), after awakening and discovering the True Self, would never have the friends she/he had before Awakening. She/he would have to forget social friends, would never have her/his picture on the internet, would never send it to anyone, ever, never have a MySpace or Hi5 or anything like that. Would never have a blog, and would never do self-exposing arts, like dancing for people, acting, playing music...
It's cooler than it seems.
I personally am not a Guardian, nor do I claim to belong to any Asetian lineage, only a follower of the Asetians, a self-claimed Asetianist.
I forgot to say: Pleasure to meet you.
Best regards,
Karnath.

Greetings Karnath,
I understand your points. It gives me more food for thought. As for, "Am I really what I think I am", is one thing I have been working on for years and will contiue to do so. I agree, you need to test yourself always.
As you have said ,Maybe many things are possible, I shall see.

Re: Greetings to all here
A very decent post, and the main reason I'm only interested in the Guardian. I get a furrow in my brow every time I find something that describes me to the dot. I begin examining it closely and in disbelief. Then, with time, it varies often, I lose interest and decide there's no way, because there's something that does not fit. Happened with vampires, happened with otherkin, happened with phoenix energy, and I'm certain it will happen with Guardian. I'm an interesting little creature, and it amuses even myself the things I do.
I will stay researching all these things I have become interested in though, as they hold pieces of my personality and essence that I am trying ever so vigilantly to figure out. I've made it quite my life's mission, to figure out exactly what I am and how to use that to make the most of myself.
^^ Be well.

Re: Greetings to all here
TG, welcome to this forum and community. I hope that you can enjoy your stay and learn with all of us, and allow us to learn with you as well. It is great that you have already read and reread the Asetian Bible, that will surely give you a good backbone on the Asetian Tradition to at least understand most of what is debated in here.
Karnath, thank you for your long post. It was a very good read and, speaking for myself, it made me think and question a lot of stuff in my mind. Thanks

Re: Greetings to all here
I just wonder at what extent does this nickname reflect a full respect towards the Asetians and Guardians. It would be like using the nickname of Horus, TheViperine, Asetian or even Aset. I am sure the AK would not look with charming eyes at it.
Be most welcome to this community, but I just personally find your choice of nickname rather unfortunate. Don't take me wrong though.

Re: Greetings to all here
Greetings again.
TheGuardian, I hope you'll find your way. As Victor, I find your choice of nickname a bit disrespectful. I've found a lot of people using Asetian symbols and terminology without any permission, and I think it's wrong. Like people who put the image of the Dark Mark as an avatar without permission, who use nicks like Scorpion, Viperine, or the same nicknames in Kemetic. It's not only ego-driven, but also a bit disrespectful, and for me it's wrong.
I also advise you not to try to be. Just be.
Jonathan, you're always so mature. I'm glad you found my post helpful. Thank you for your kind reply.
Best regards,
Karnath.

Can I change it? If so how?

TheGuardian, welcome to this forum. It is a long but very enlightening journey you're on.
Karnath: your post was very good. I agree with all said there, except that I don't see why an Asetian could not be a performer. Asetians would never be openly Asetian with the outside world, so as long as it's kept within the Family circle it should not be an obstacle to their career.

Re: Greetings to all here
Just a quick note:
I dont personally think there is any need for sudden hysterics at a persons choice of nickname...nor do I believe the Aset Ka would pop a blood vessel over it, either.
True, the name could be said to be suggestive of some egotism and lack of respect, but the member is new and has not yet read the AB, so will therefore not be familair with it's workings.
