Just a little about myself

Hello everyone, my name is Nicole. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a very big fan of the mythical vampire since I was young. I've read many books and watched all the shows and movies having to do with mythical vampires. I was shocked to find out 2 years ago that vampires were real and very very different from the myth. It wasn't until about a week ago that I was starting to research the vampire world.I am currently writing an essay about vipirism. I have to say that I was a huge skeptic at first, mostly because of the vampires that I always pictured. Immortal, Vampires that kill humans for their blood, die in the sunlight, and are killed by stakes through the chest. But since learning about the true nature of the vampire my thoughts have changed. It is tru that I still believe that some people who claim to be vampires are truly not. I still believe that some people use the vampire name to gain power over people, to kill and to rape. But are there not preachers and teachers that do the same? I came to this site expecting to be shut out as an outsider. But you are all very welcoming and have answerered my questions. I thank all of you for letting me get just a glimpse into your world. I see now that being a true vampire is just a part of who you are. It's like how a white person cannot choose to be white or a hispanic person can't choose to be something else, it's just who they are. It's been a great experience talking with some of you... In a way, you've shone me the light. I hope to keep learning about your world well after I am done with my essay. Anyways, thank you again!

Hi there Nicole and welcome to this exciting new world of real life vampirism. I can say that you were lucky in coming to this forum, since most of the communities out there really take the vampire as a role-playing thing and are not mature and serious about the vampiric nature. It is a world where most people pretend to be more than actually being, so stay away the most that you can from that sort of forums and online communities. The real vampires and the real society of vampires is pretty much underground and not that easily reachable. It may be hard at first to distinguish what is real from what is not and how to tell if you are in the right track, but in time that will become more obvious as you research deeper and get knowledge of certain things.
Feel free to hang around, learn, participate and share, you're welcome in being part of this community of darkness.

Yes Daniel I agree, the key word in here is HEALTHY, we have found those that do take an unhealthy interest in us, sometimes unhealthy for them and sometimes for us.
