Feeding Filtering

Has another or have others found a filtering method? For example, in Rikers Island, I ceased eating 'regular' food, though criminal tendencies began manifesting. I was not sure which was better; allowing criminal tendency progression or eating 'regular' food.

This new community have seemingly seen much suffering; dehydration, toxins, death, mental illness. Seems there would be some trigger for evolving a trait which allows one graceful sustenance deterioration (healthy feeding, unless may result in starvation).

Not necessarily either or; light hybrid diet may ward off undesirable effects just enough.
