Formal Introduction: Mikhail
A few days ago i stumbled across your community and so far i enjoy spending my time reading through what is publicly accessible.
I feel it wouldn't be fitting not to introduce myself and at least give my regards to the community.
By day I'm an artist living in Germany with an academic interest in religious studies.
Then of course there is my more private side, putting far to much time and energy into my regional vampyric community and related affairs. In these circles i am known as Mikhail.
Before i eventually took on calling myself a vampyre, a term used out of convenience, i fashioned myself a student of the occult, prefering to purely observe vampyres. I am quite thankful for this turn of events for after serving my community for years i am yet to loose my inquisitive stance concerning vampyrism and the nature of it. I always motivate members of my circle to actively keep on working to uncover the individual reasons for manifested vampyrism.
In my opinion most metaphysical answers put forward by practicing vampyres are quite lacking and so i have developed a distaste towards easy explanations and metaphysical conditions of the soul. I feel most aspects of vampyrism can be understood from a psychological, psychosocial, psychohistorical perspective, although I'd have to say more occult means of introspection or soul-searching remain the most potent tools to really get to experience the deep of it, tried and true. For this reason i try to keep an open mind and an open eye.
Lately i renewed my interest in the more esoteric vampyre societies, in other terms groups of the initatory model as opposed to the "awakened" model.
This community seems to be a unique source of insight into the tradition of Asentianism or maybe rather into the community surrounding and enshrining it.
I'm sure i've rambled enough already.
I remain thankful,
-M.

Re: Formal Introduction: Mikhail
Hello Mikhail and welcome to the community. So you're active in the German community? I hope no relation with Father Sebastiaan as I was told he's now trying to taint the communities there by pushing his commercial stuff as he did here in the US. But since you mentioned being experienced with the different occult paradigms and traditions there must be no connections with Todd as that material appeals mostly to youngsters and roleplayers.
I'm looking forward to read more about your opinions and experiences around the different threads. Feel free to share them as we're quite a diverse group here with a lot of divergent views.

Thank you, Jonathan.
He is trying... But so far his influence in organised groups is non-existent.
