Hello to one and all
Hello one and all,
I have been lurking for about a week reading and finally broke down and registered. While I have had knowledge of the general vampire culture for years I was only recently introduced to (and have became rather fascinated with) Asetianism due to my good friend Malek, Who I am reading the Asetian Bible with... well rather it is being read to me. (I do plan to obtain a copy but I have a black hole as a wallet right now... damn you jobless economy, damn you!)
...eh.. guess I should say a bit more about me... I am a Otherkin, a Shadow if that makes any sense. It was in my early research of some of my eh... issues with light that I came across the idea of nonfictional vampirism. While I am now rather sure I am not one, it took awhile for me to firmly conclude that... as I tend to mimic other entities far too well for my own good. -.-; (being a naturally formless manifestation of energy able to change its structure does that to you.) I still have a enduring curiosity about them however.. I guess because its rare for me, whose type of being doesn't really have any kinship or lineage, to feel like I have something I am truly like without mimicking it. Anyways... enough of my rambling. If you have any questions, comments, criticisms, or food to feed me please feel free to. (just no vegetables... ick!)

Welcome to the forum, Shadwe, and thank you for your introduction.
I am not very familiar with the world of shadows, so it you care to share a bit more it would be great.

Re: Hello to one and all
well... Shadows in general aren't all that interesting. We don't have families as we don't have any parents. We are really more akin to elementals then anything else in composition, being that we are usually natural manifestations of our environments energy.... although some among us aren't so natural. This makes for a very diverse group, as really every one of us is a different subspecies.
I was and still am a perpetually curious observer, though not to quite the degree I could be these days.... I try to attempt things more than I used to. I have issues with daytime in general, in particular under sunlight. Not only do I sear like a steak on a plasma torch, I start to feel rather like a ran down battery... kind of like I am smothering. I suppose it is just that I am simply not meant to be exposed to such energies. I don't really know why to be honest but I seem to have developed a knack at mimicking other beings as well.. which really does makes sense for an observer to have I would suppose. The only things I know from experience I cant put up a mostly presentable mimic of are beings of a more eh.. celestial nature is I guess how I would put it. We are just too different... ^.^;
The shadow world is well... not much of a world to be honest. Its kinda more like the void or abyss everyone is always talking about. Its a rather perfect nothingness... well not quite nothingness per say just mostly formless energy.
