*** Who were Aaron and Moses? ***
Derek over at Mythvision is having some very interesting guests on. This is Rabbi Tovia Singer on the origins of Torah and Tanakh.
He mentions Isa 7:14 "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." .
This is the prophecy that Jesus would be the Messiah. Except, of course, that Jesus was never called Emmanuel. Jesus is NEVER called Emmanuel in the entire New Testament, and so the prophesy was wrong, and Jesus was not the Messiah - he was just a Naughty Boy who started a war with the Romans.
Anyway...
Oddly enough the Lord in verse Isa 7:14 is called Adon. Not Yahweh, but Adon, and this god-name comes from the Aton or Adon - the god of Pharaoh Akhenaton. So while the rabbi likes to correct mistranslations in the Christian world, he will not admit that his religion and his monotheism, came from Pharaoh Akhenaton.
So the founding brothers of Judaism, Aaron, and Moses, were the royal brothers Pharaoh Akhenaton and Commander TuthMoses. And do remember that Aaron in Aramaic is spelled the same way as Aadon. So the two brothers of Exodus were called Adon and Moses - or Akhen-Adon and Tuth-Moses. Judaism is based on Egyptian Atonism.
Perhaps the rabbi would like to lecture us on the similarities between Judaism and Atonism...
