How do you Know?

Not to sound naive in any way, but how do you come to find out what you are? Whether it be vampire, lycan, or any type of otherkin. How do you come to find out? I would love to hear any of your experiences on this subject.

I don't think any of us knows with any full certainty what we are. There are very few who can be completely sure as to the nature of their Soul, and so far I haven't met anyone like that. The quest for an answer is a life long journey that involves research, self-questioning and a lot of meditation. Some times you might receive a hint at the truth from a gut feeling, from personal experiences or from certain signs along the way in the form of messages or events.

Being alert as to how you react to certain things and how you perceive them, and looking out for small signs here and there - what catches your attention, what pieces of information lead you along the way - is a good way to start. And basically just listening to your inner voice - that is, whatever is there after every other stimulus and feeling is gone (you can achieve this with meditation) - are good ways to start off on this road.

Don't find this all dispiriting, though. It is one of the most fascinating journeys one can ever take.

Well, Said...I feel the same in a lot of what you speak of...
