How do you know you have the dark mark and can you see it?

You should pick up the Asetian Bible, it answers most questions you may have and it is from the foremost authority on Asetianism.

The Dark Mark is a sacred technique that creates a metaphysical tattoo upon the soul and thus into your inner essence.

Yeah that's a very complex subject and the techniques for tattooing the soul and to empower the Dark Mark are still a well kept secret that has been passed down to the Elders since the times of Ancient Egypt.

I was wondering, though I have read my Asetian Bible countless times... Elders receive the Dark Mark, as well as non-Elders within the Aset Ka structure? Or, if non-Elders do not get the Dark Mark tattooed on their wrist, do they get another symbol?

That's what I meant, it is just a representation, not a real one. It is important to point it out to new people that may not know the image and take it as real. Besides, it is not an entirely accurate representation. The Asetians created it digitally flawed on purpose. I believe those intentional flaws have been debated before, in this forum or in some other, long ago.

Oh ok, misunderstood you for a second, and yes I recall it being flawed in order to keep it secret.

I have theories about the Dark Mark, but surely I cannot test any of them unless I come into contact with real Asetians. It is just ideas of points on the body where tattooing a metaphysical mark such as that which would channel Violet Flame would seem to make sense. I suppose my ideas are also outlandish in that I believe the sigil need not be in one complete piece on a specific spot of the body, but possibly in many parts metaphysically calculated to express a powerful composition of balance. It seemed to me from the start that Asetians whom favor balance above all wouldn't have one side of their body weighted with the Mark, while the other side remains empty.

Again, I am just voicing my ideas. No way to test it or even think too deeply about.
