Can someone from 1 lineage be in love with someone from a different lineage?

Of course. You thought that Concubines dated Concubines and Viperines dated Viperines?

I would say it happens quite often, with how energetically attracted to each other they already are. In unawakened individuals they may feel like they already know each other, or that there's a spark inside them when they see the other person. I do think the most productive relationships would exist between Guardians and Concubines, and Concubines and Viperines, because of the energy complements. It is not a defining aspect though. I think an Asetian could fall in love with anyone, though it is less normal I think to fall for a human. Even if they were to give their love the Dark Kiss with Aset's blessing, after the change, they would not be the same person. It is a transformation in every sense.

It is actually, to my mind, more common for a lineage to be in Love with another lineage. Because... think of it... a Viperine would probably not like to have another controlling and leading being, instead he would probably enjoy more a Serving, Tame Concubine or a Loving, Protective Guardian. To me, it makes more sense.

And as Ana said, it makes more sense to a Lineage to be in Love for another Lineage.
They have distinct characteristics that make different Lineages more compatible with each other, than within the same Lineage.

I concur that inter-lineage love is possible and natural. As well as an Asetian loving a non-Asetian, particularly if the non-Asetian is an unawakened Asetian soul.
