An interesting detail about Dionysos is that he was the son of a god (Zeus) and a woman (Semele), just like "Jesus" was the son of a god (YHWH) and a woman (Miriam/Mary).
Also worthy of note is the fact that in a group of thirteen persons (that is, the "Son/Sun of God" plus his 12 disciples) the one in the middle – i.e. the Sun – is the Seventh.
