Odd occurence

I had something happen to me the other day which I cannot define, I was wondering if someone could enlighten me about what exactly happened to me.

I was meditating as usual in my living room. I usually meditate to a specific song and after I grounded and cleansed. I decided to just focus on my breathing.

After about a minute I felt what seemed to be a hand on my head, and my right shoulder.

Afterward I started to sway back and forth. (I would like to note that I usually start to sway, ever so gently when I am concentrating on something, but not as intense as the other night.)

As the swaying began to intensify, I felt as if my very soul (yes my soul) was vibrating inside me, as if it wanted to leave my body.

I know this sounds as if I was about to Astrally project but that was not my will.....

What are your thoughts?

I once had a similar experience when working with a spirit. Have you been working with entities?

Well, it could be that something was forcing you to astral travel. However those physical sensations could just be the consecuence of high levels of energy, which are previous to an astral journey.

Sometimes the sensations are different, I don´t know why. I have experienced a great pression on my head, other times like if I was getting smaller and smaller, on other occasions I feel heat all over my body....

It was not you will to astral travel, however it is not your will to breath either and it happens. Astral projection is like breathing, it is a reflex act of your body.

No I was not working with entities, but I always pray to Aset before and after my meditations. But I do not think she was the one who was forcing me to Astral Travel.

I felt the same thing last night as well, except this time my soul was vibrating at an extremely high intensity....do you know a website or a book that I could read to help me with these experiences?

I agree with RudraShiva, your experience seems consistent with what I have felt sometimes priorly to spontaneous OBE. I don't think it has to be related with an entity, though. Sometimes it just happens, due to the level of energy in your system or just because all the variable are met, in your mind, body and spirit... so it happens naturally. It also may be connected with your Will, which may not be a conscious thing. You may not be thinking about astral travel but something inside you is doing an effort for you to project into the astral.

Try reading the book Astral Dynamics from Robert Bruce. It is one of the best published works that I know of when it comes to OBE and astral projection. I don't agree with all of his theories but he is a great help in making it work effectively and there is certainly much to learn from his experience.
