Strange dreams...
For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed in full color, with all my senses working just like when I'm awake. I also usually remember every detail of the dream after I wake up, without help from writing it down. Does this mean anything, or is it normal?
The types of dreams I have range from me being killed and feeling the pain, to me losing family members (dream only family with no correlation to real people), even gaining powers. I know there are symbols in dreams that have meaning, but what about the overall story or theme of it? Does that have any significance?
Sometimes it feels like rather than a dream, I was living in another reality. I have even lived an entire lifetime before in just one dream.
If there's someone here that likes to interpret dreams, I have some pretty weird ones, and they all have a coherent story.

Well, it is not that common for people to have vivid dreams but in saying that it is not something that special, I guess the art of dreaming is easier for some than others. Dreams usually pertain to the realm of the inner plane, which is were the subconscious mind is manifest. This means that everything that you experience is due to your deep and hidden thoughts projecting themselves, so dreams are almost always nothing more than constructs of our own fantasy's and illusions. This is sometimes even the case with some past life regressions, which end up just being your subconscious projections from your own memories and desires as the akashic records which contain the whole knowledge of human experience exist in the ethereal realm, hence why you can see you past lives when you access them. Verifying past lives is usually a difficult task and is not as simple as most people think. However it is possible to access the astral realm in your dreams if you gain awareness that you are in a dream while you are dreaming [lucid dreaming] and create a portal to the astral. In short, your dreams are most probably nothing more than subconscious projections but they can still be useful to you. Hope this helps

Re: Strange dreams...
Well, dreams can be analysed psychologically, and spiritually, of course. They can represent what path we are currently on, and many elements within their subliminal, yet obvious structure can send us subconscious messages about how we should act/divert ourselves from a path/stay on one. As the Anglo Saxons would say with Rune Casting, "This is your future, but it does not have to be. You wish to change it? act now. You will be what you envision, if you envision what you shall be."
On the other hand, of course, i find some dreams to be random. sometimes they are of our most deep thoughts, that lay dormant within the darkened depths of our minds, awaiting to be unearthed into a world of imagination and spontaneous creativity. I have once had a dream where i awoke, falling from a tall, tall building, far up into the sky, perhaps the Empire State. I did not scream on the way down, for i didn't fear the impact. But it wasn't as if i myself didn't, it was as if i literally couldn't. My third eye was awake, and my mind was fully engaged in the dream, but..
Me, my spirit, was viewing it. It was like i was watching myself dream, but i still had partial control. I could feel my mental state of fear, but, in spirit, i had advanced far beyond such a thing.
As i hit the ground, i didn't awake. I lay there, as the ground seemed to open below me, sucking me into a darkened pit as black as darkness could be. On my way below, i felt immense pressure all around, a rumbling sound from all directions, similar to that of a major earthquake.
Just as the disturbance reached it's apex, i awoke. And after i had awoken, for around 2 seconds, the rumbling was still there, and it was as if i had fallen back into my body, as the bed shook as my eyes opened to the world once more.
Then again, i do tend to have strange dreams that are often based on my desires, but i do have the odd out of body experience from time to time.
Oh, and if it's relevant, while on the subject,
i once almost had an O.O.B.E, but as i rose up from my body, the strangest thing happened..
I could hear screams from all around, like people being alarmed of something terrible happening. I felt immense pressure on my spirit, and could hear whispers from all corners of the room. They were either in a foreign language, or far too fast to be recognized as English.
I was instantly locked in place upon standing next to my bed, as the screams intensified, and i could feel a presence standing directly in front of me, one of negative energy, pure, negativity, but seemingly of protection rather than harm.
Everything began to blur, as the screams were at their highest pitch. It was like being a child, and being afraid of the monster in the closet again, almost knowing he was there, and fear of him coming to get you..
I then awoke in my bed. The fear had instantly gone, it was as if i had returned to a dimension of safety, and the other one i was in was one of danger. It was like i had returned to the "real" room i know and love, and i was relieved to be out of whatever other version i was in.
The only thing i could make out from the whispers was, what sounded like,
"LEAVE THIS PLACE, LEAVE THIS PLACE, LEAVE THIS PLACE" etc among almost thousands of other voices and screams.
Was almost frightening, really..

I can agree with you in this. But, remember that the world of Dreams, is a universal plan. Is not fixed and is very complex. In dreams we can change the direction of things, or we are controlled or we control and when that happens we are only receptive of symbols and messages for our awareness. There are many people who believe that dreams are a product of our minds, created by our ego, as Carl Jung believed. But I see dream world as the physical plane, with different levels and frequencies, with totally different powers, but that should be taken with care and wisdom.
