My name is Nilrem Visigoth. I'm a Vampyre from Puerto Rico. I've been in the Vampyre community for three years, using the Vampire archetype as a eclectic spiritual philosophy. As a child, the concept of vampires from a fictional and mythological standpoint always fascinated me and spoke to me on a profound level. Later on, I decided to search for communities with congruent views as mine and that's when I stumbled upon the Vampyre subculture and made a few friends who share similar views with me.

In Puerto Rico, unfortunately the community is very small and a stagnated swamp filled with child-minded individuals and abusers. Only my best friend and I remain genuine. It doesn't stop me from keep going on and reaching my goals. Recently, I stumbled upon this forum and I was interested in interacting with others. I hope to learn a lot and have good interactions.

To share a bit of myself:

My reading interests are: Philosophy, Occult, Metaphysics, Horror and Mythology. I practice Kendo, Asana Yoga and Energy manipulation.

Generally, we use the term "vampire" to describe non-human souls inhabiting in human body, a complex and profound concept, and "Vampyre" when we talk about fantasy and nonsense.

I would like to ask you out of consideration for a fellow born and raised Puerto Rican not to throw out a generalizing belittlement. There is more than just the community. There are also stragglers, but I have to say that being from PR myself, I felt identified in your statement.
