Mirrors and vampires Empty Mirrors and vampires

Post by Rael 21.02.19 3:38

'I saw a man in black come out of the mirror on the bathroom. Then he rushed directly to me. Then a black mist appeared in front of me, this makes me line of sight was covered and can't see everything. Everything came too fast, I couldn't react, could only watch the black fog invading my body. '' A few days ago, happened to Ryel. Real experience.

"So what is the connection between the mirror and the vampire or something else? Or just can't accept it, tell me!"

"As far as I know, mirrors are things that connect the world after death. There is such a saying in my country, so someone will cover it with cloth." The feng shui master usually gives this opinion.

For vampires... why the mirrors don't appear where they live,  Rael has question.

I stopped answering that person long ago. Sometimes you just have to be done. Not mad, not upset.....Just done with stupidity.

Vampires have reflections. Vampires are at least, in body, human.

I suspect you're just dreaming again, Rael. ... or perhaps hallucinating.

As far as my experience with mirrors.
They are useful for doing my hair and makeup. Beyond them, I've never exactly "liked" them.

On one hand, I feel the reflection, of the surface, is inaccurate and triggers a bit of discomfort over what I really am/feel I am versus what I see.

On a different perspective, I don't like mirrors at night. The feeling is creepy and surreal. It's probably just my mind playing tricks on me, but it's not something I tolerate well. I have to make sure that mirrors, and some reflective surfaces, are covered or simply not in my bedroom at night or I'll feel at least, like something is watching me and I won't sleep.

I believe my experiences are personal, not vampiric.

I don't think being able to see yourself in a mirror determines if your a vampire or not. I've been a vampire for a long time and I can see myself perfectly fine in the mirror. In fact, I quite like looking at myself in the mirror.

I've heard of various mirror practices where you can see your shadow self within it. Maybe that's what is haunting you, A.Nightside? Although the practices are a bit more elaborate, but it might bear some correlation.

As a kid, my siblings and I used to stare t the mirror nd pretend it was an entirely alternate world we were staring at, including our reflections being real people somehow. I actually consider that play and into my subconscious and became "real" in that way.

Isabella, an how "long" has that been exactly?

"A.Nightside, you have such doubts, is right. But there are follow-up experiences."

"In the dusk after that, I saw a... black bird. " Flying from the back to Rael's eyes before, scared Rael's out of a cold sweat. It is twenty-one centimeters in size and black in color. If you don't look at your mouth, you will think it's a crow. The beak is not long or short, just the color, the color is orange and there is no bending.
In order to confirm that the black bird stepped toward it, it patted its wings and flew forward, not far from a building, and the prominent huts on the first floor rested.
Rael carefully observed. All the passers-by on the road did not see the black birds flying, very strange, only Rael saw it.

"At night, I had a dream, a long dark night. In the dream, there is a man, a man in black clothes, sitting in a dark world, a single leather sofa, looking at me steadily. He slight hypnosis, chill voice asked me questions , what wanted to hear me. It was like asking for information. Language with a trace of curiosity in the , and I will tell him what story, about myself.
"My friend, she..."  describe a friend of mine. She's one of my best friends, "Do not say it well!"  Thinking of this friend, do I really... must say  it what? I hesitated. The man’s eyes are shining, he wants to know the reason, my friend’s story , “Why don’t you say?” "Say another friend..." I shifted the topic and said other friends. When the man heard what I said, he stopped the topic. He gave me a fatal blow. A familiar and miss, the friend's name is spoken from the man's mouth. "
The above really happened.

In lore, vampires and mirrors don't mix because old mirrors are backed with pure silver. Since vampires have no souls, they are considered evil and thus do not appear in the reflection. Most modern mirrors are backed with aluminum so it doesn't really matter anymore

Sean Manchester (see: The Highgate Vampire) argues that some kinds of vampires exist in what he calls "anti-time" (meaning in a state somehow between life and death) and therefore cast no reflecion in a mirror. I find this theory interesting because it implies that some vampires (especially very old ones) exists in what you could perhaps call a 3,5 dimensional state.....

Coming back to this, and perhaps changing gears a bit.

Can individuals use mirrors in spiritual practice?
(I suppose I can answer this myself, but curious what others think)

Could fear/uneasiness suggest something that needs to be faced?

I don't like mirrors at night. During the day, I couldn't care less. My reflection, of course is less than ideal (my opinion of myself), but at night, it's not my reflection I see. Sure, realistically, sometimes it's my shadow or silhouette.

Perhaps I should explore darkened mirrors more, or is this dangerous for someone going in naively?

I'm not sure how exactly I would "explore" it. Perhaps begin by just facing a dark/black mirror, staring, meditating - allowing the discomfort to wash over me and settle naturally. See if there's any substance behind it, or if there really is nothing at all that triggers my apprehension.
Should I face it and see where it takes me?
COULD it take me somewhere? ..or to someONE/Thing?
Does this thought process sound laughable, naive or silly?
