Re: Greetings everyone
I respect your opinions, and I agree that the male bellydancing I've seen has not been good. I still hold true to my belief that there are men that are meant to though. It is just far more rare, because it is an absolutely natural dance for women.

Re: Greetings everyone
The most important, is that, respect.
And, is keeping the loyalty on that point, that things evolve in a better way.

Re: Greetings everyone
I haven't seen too many male bellydancers, but the few that I have were
so different and unique in each of their styles, and some were pretty good. I have seen male
dancers that exude feminine vibes exclusively, as well as very
masculine male dancers. The male performers I've met have taken different
approaches towards the dance, either very technical, or even
comedic, but respectful. Personally, bellydance feels very feminine, but the vibe of
the dance changes with each performer, I believe, and it especially has with the
male dancers I've seen. I have also seen co-ed troupes, and that has been interesting as well.

I agree with you in some part.
All the dancers deserve respect, they all carry with them a wonderful art.
Many male dancers have a lot of quality. =)
But in the case of Bellydance is a lot of history behind, many rituals, many times of celebration, made exclusively by womens.
I just keep my belief in the Origin of this Sacred Dance and all My steps in Bellydance is based on it.
There is no problem with the evolution of dance. I agree with the evolution of all things, change is essential.
And I believe also, that the vibe of the dance changes with each performer.
So, if men feel well, although I don't agree very much, why not? I will never stop anyone from following what they like.
Are just different beliefs.
Thank you for sharing your opinion Saylamine.
