Aset and mortals...

I think I may need some clarification here, and apologies if this strays off topic, but I thought the Wiccans invoke deities as a way to gt in touch with their energies, and to connect a small part of their consciousness with the deity.

I don't think a whole lot of Wiccans do evocations of deities, that is, summoning them to the physical or astral realm, I thought. I know some do evoke spirits, like elementals, for example.

If it were possible to evoke a deity like Aset, personally, I really wouldn't want to do so. That would be way too much power to evoke, in my opinion. I do think that maybe the Asetians have the knowledge to evoke Aset, perhaps.

I think Aset would show interest to the ones She thinks that are worthy of Her help and Love. If they Love Her in a "pure way" She might look out for them, but She interacts with only a few.
