What is Love to You

For me love is what I have to my mother. We have always been there one for the other. We are partners in crime and there is no other person I love and trust more than her...

Well I don't know if anyone will read this. I think this topic is an old one but I am new and thought it was interesting.

When someone's safety and well being becomes your priority. That's love for me.

I haven't found it yet either...

Love... the answer is sometimes simple but sometimes very complex.
there are different levels or expressions of love as i see it
but between lovers/partners
I'd have to say its a binding of the soul. you become one together, inseparable no matter how far away. it's friendship, respect, loyalty... but only when it is shared and in balance is it true love. not one loving more nor less. that is true love to me... a shared energy that even if the world is ending, it doesn't matter because at least you are together.

thats how i see it and how i have experienced love anyways... and you know that you are one, it's a shared feeling, and others will know it too... its a beautiful energy that can keep you going forever.

asetian love i imagine can't be too far away from those feelings, perhaps all of them and more intensified, but maybe with a few more spiritual ingredients in the mix... hehe

love to me is existence itself much like our self but could be only experianced by being in a higher state of self but humans mimic this behavior like a mime only if the humans are disconnected from the higher self. yes, when I am connected to my higher self I am love and feel love like I am existence itself. I wish all of you luck on finding your higher self and love! Thank you!

Well love to me is monogamous 2 people and no more, while i am strait I do support same sex relationships especially in the case of love. Further more i believe that love is an energy which exists between all living beings and to even the smallest sense is shared between them. In a relationship however i give loyalty to my partner and would expect it back.

In a Platonic way yes, but that passion starts die the minute she turns you down. She would have to do something big to reignite it.

So what you're saying is that your love is conditional. You can only love if you're loved in return. That's not love.

that also states that his is the only and most important life in the universe of things....and that hers does not matter along with her singleness of thought that does not match with his.....kind of selfish in appearance.

I know love is unconditional that doesn't mean you have to still be passionate about it after she turns you down for the 20th time.

well then, you realize I am talking only about my male side and not my feminine side....and I have not even begun to compare how that would effect my ability to love one half of self and not love the other near as much as I love that one side.....cause if I do not agree in loving one side as much as the other, then I am in big trouble with the big kahuna..

Do you realize this thread is about love not passion right?

If there is love you will be passionate even if she's 80. Or will your passion also go away when her body gets all wrinkly and her hair turns white?

In years around this forum I have never seen a post of mine being censored so I'm finding that hard to believe. In fact I have seen users insulting other users, rage quitting and all sorts of childish displays, without anyone complaining of posts being censored.
Not to mention that when the admins do intervene it doesn't happen in a flash. They are real people you know, they take time to fix things around here and it's clear when that happens as they also leave a public message explaining it.
